What is The Creative Pause?

The Creative Pause is a five-session faith-rooted art journaling course that takes you through five postures of the heart — Reveal, Release, Receive, Remember and Rejoice.

Each session is led by Tina via video. Using simple creative techniques — mark making, collage, paint and handwriting — you will slow down, open God's Word and meet Him on the page in a way that goes deeper than reading alone.

No artistic experience needed. No special supplies required. Just a willingness to show up as you are.

This is not an art class. It is an invitation to play and be. To leave what is heavy on the page and rise as the daughter you already are.

Inside the course

Five sessions. Five encounters.

Reveal — Coming to the Page as You Are

We begin with an invitation to slow down, open your hands and ask Pappa what He wants to show you.

Release — Leaving It on the Page

Using layering and collage we practise releasing what is on your heart — physically, creatively, prayerfully.

Receive — Open Hands, Open Heart

Daughters receive rather than strive — this session practises resting in what God has already said rather than earning it.

Remember — Truth in Your Own Handwriting

Truth written in your own hand becomes something you carry, not just something you know.

Rejoice — Coming Back Every Time

We close with praise, honesty and the habit of a heart that keeps returning to Him.

Common questions

Before you join

Absolutely not. In fact, many women who get the most from this course are the ones who have never considered themselves creative. The course is built on the belief that every woman is creative — not because of talent, but because she is made in the image of a Creator God. No art experience necessary.
Very little. A journal or notebook, a pen, and optional basic art supplies like watercolour paints, coloured pencils or washi tape. You'll receive a full supplies guide when you join. Nothing needs to be expensive or special.
You can use any journal or notebook you already have — there are no special requirements. As a bonus, Tina has included a video walking you through how to make your own simple art journal if you'd like to create one especially for this course. Use what you have, or make something that is entirely yours.
Each session video is approximately 20–30 minutes, with time on the page varying by how deeply you want to go. Most women set aside 45–60 minutes per session, but you can go shorter or longer. The course is self-paced — there's no pressure to finish by a certain date.
Yes, The Creative Pause is rooted in Christian faith and uses Scripture as its foundation. It is designed for women who have a faith or are exploring one. You don't need to be a regular churchgoer — you just need to be open to meeting God on the page.
